Why I want to sit on the Board of Directors: La Mission, la Vision et les valeurs du CFPC m'ont interpellées;

Je souhaite:
- être la déléguée régionale du Québec;
- rehausser la crédibilité des membres de l'industrie;

Marco Bérubé
Boehringer Ingelheim

Rhonda Kramarchuk
Servier

Short biographical sketch: When I made the decision to pursue a career in the PHARMA industry, I started researching companies and applying for jobs. I often found myself as a finalist in the interview process but couldn't make it as the final candidate. It was one professional recruiter that took the time to tell me about CCPE and the mandatory accreditation for all representatives. He suggested that I take the initiative on my own and take the course. It was unheard of at the time but I soon became a top candidate and was offered my first pharmaceutical representative position approximately four months after completing my CCPE basic accreditation. I have since taken an additional 10 CCPE courses in the various therapeutic fields I have worked in, to increase my knowledge and to become a better representative of my products, my companies and of the industry as a whole.

Why I want to sit on the Board of Directors: I have always had a passion for learning. Since 2004, CCPE has been an important part of my continued career development. I look forward to helping members of the pharmaceutical industry and external stakeholders, such as health care professionals, better understand the benefits of CCPE. I also want to help change the image of the pharmaceutical representative and our industry as a whole in a more positive light. I would be honoured to be elected.

Mandy Solomon-Ashkin
Sunovion Pharmaceuticals

Short biographical sketch: I live in Calgary with my husband and our standard Poodle Charley. We have two adult sons who live in Calgary. I have a BSc from the University of Calgary and use my science background and my love of selling professionally in pharma. I am an avid skier in the winter and a marginal golfer in the summer. We have a 36ft motorhome
(anyone who reads Steinbeck novels will at this point get the name Charley) that we take out during our summers and have been trying to do more Europe trips in the 'off' seasons. I also consider myself a 'foodie' and love reading all kinds of books and listening to many types of music with classic rock tops. I have been very successful in the pharmaceutical industry and have won awards for my performance over the years that I am very proud of. I am very proud of my family and all of their accomplishments.

Why I want to sit on the Board of Directors: I have been in the pharmaceutical industry for most of my adult life. Over the course of my career in pharmaceuticals, I have seen many changes. The constant has been the need to change with the tides, with the products and with the business model to stay fresh. CCPE has provided and will provide me with that opportunity. I am passionate about continuing education, especially about continuing education that relates directly to my profession.
